Stellantis Group considers shutting down some unprofitable brands

Faced with declining market demand and high investments in electrification, the Stellantis Group is considering shutting down some unprofitable brands. Although the group has not made a clear statement, the market speculates that niche brands such as Lancia, DS and Alfa Romeo may be at risk. The Stellantis Group achieved net revenue of 85.017 billion euros in the first half of 2024, but it fell 14% year-on-year and was lower than the expected 87 billion euros. Net profit was 5.647 billion euros, down 48% year-on-year, lower than the expected 6.97 billion euros.
