Takata airbag fatality problem continues to ferment, 27 people have died in the United States

According to NHTSA, 27 people have died in the United States due to defective Takata airbag explosions. In addition, at least 400 people in the United States have been reported to be injured by Takata airbag inflator explosions. In July this year, BMW recalled about 394,000 vehicles in the United States due to Takata airbag problems. In the past decade, more than 100 million vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflators have been recalled worldwide.
