China's new energy sales will exceed 10 million in 2024, with BYD firmly at the top

In 2024, China's new energy sales exceeded 12 million. If export and inventory factors are excluded, the actual sales will exceed 10 million, reaching 10.74 million, a year-on-year increase of 48.2%. In the development of new energy vehicles, domestic brands have played a key role in promoting it. In the full-year car company data for 2024, except for Tesla, the others are Chinese local brand car companies. In terminal sales, pure electric models still dominate, with annual sales of more than 6.2 million vehicles, accounting for 58.5%. However, the growth rate of pure electric models is relatively slow, only 27%, while the growth rate of plug-in hybrid models is as high as 93%.
