Innoscience announced in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that it has sued three companies for infringing its gallium nitride (GaN)-related patents

Innoscience, a leading global power semiconductor manufacturer, and its wholly-owned subsidiary Innoscience (Suzhou) Semiconductor Co., Ltd., have filed a lawsuit against Infineon Technologies (China) Co., Ltd., Infineon Technologies (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Xinwoko Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. in the Suzhou Intermediate People's Court of Jiangsu Province, accusing them of infringing the company's two gallium nitride (GaN)-related patents. The two patents respectively involve gallium nitride power devices and preparation methods thereof and nitride-based semiconductor devices and manufacturing methods thereof. Innoscience stated that the three companies promoted and sold the suspected infringing products in the Chinese market without authorization, and therefore should bear the corresponding legal responsibilities.
