BorgWarner achieves deep integration with STMicroelectronics, ON Semiconductor and Wolfspeed

BorgWarner and STMicroelectronics jointly developed SiC chips for Viper modules and promoted mass production to meet the needs of the electric vehicle market. In addition, BorgWarner invested $500 million in Wolfspeed in 2022 to obtain long-term capacity procurement rights. At the same time, BorgWarner also signed a $1 billion SiC device procurement agreement with ON Semiconductor to further expand the diversification of the supply chain and cover different technology routes and market needs.
