BYD clarifies Chrysler acquisition rumors

BYD has explicitly denied rumors that BYD is considering acquiring Chrysler. The news first circulated overseas, claiming that BYD intends to acquire all the assets of Chrysler and its three major brands and eight factories in the United States. If the acquisition is successful, Chrysler is expected to become BYD's springboard to enter the US market. However, this statement has not been confirmed by BYD. From the perspective of product lines, there is a certain degree of fit between the two. For example, BYD's Formula Leopard model has similarities in function with Chrysler's Jeep brand, while the Dodge brand corresponds to BYD's already released SHARK pickup model. In addition, Chrysler's brand positioning covers all levels from home use to luxury, which coincides with BYD's market strategy.
