TSMC acquires Innolux's Nanke plant to expand advanced packaging capacity

TSMC announced that it has signed an agreement with Innolux to purchase its Nanke plant and ancillary facilities for production and operation at a price of NT$17.14 billion. The acquisition is mainly to meet TSMC's strong demand for CoWoS advanced packaging technology, and is expected to be used to expand such technology and backup bases for more advanced processes.
