New energy passenger car retail sales in January increased by 10.5% year-on-year

According to the latest data from the China Passenger Car Association, the national passenger car market retail volume reached 1.794 million units in January 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 12.1% and a month-on-month decrease of 31.9%. However, the retail sales of new energy passenger cars in January reached 744,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 10.5% and a month-on-month decrease of 42.9%.
