GAC Group announced that the groundbreaking ceremony for GAC Ogihara's new digital factory was held on February 15 at the Zhilian New Energy Industrial Park in Panyu District, Guangzhou. The total investment in the factory exceeds 1.2 billion yuan and is expected to be put into production in 2026. The annual production capacity of the first phase of the project will reach 125,000 battery shells, 200,000 steel and aluminum subframes, and 130,000 body parts, fully serving GAC's independent brands and joint venture brands. The second phase will focus on breakthroughs in modular integrated die-casting technology, and plans to build 100,000 sets of front cabin and rear floor die-casting production lines to provide lightweight solutions for GAC's independent brands Haobo, Trumpchi, and Aion.
