Genesis recalls 1,583 imported cars due to fuel pump problems

Genesis Automobile Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has decided to recall 1,583 imported Genesis G80 and GV80 vehicles produced between August 27, 2021 and September 8, 2022 in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products. The reason for the recall is that there are problems with the manufacturing of the fuel pump impellers of some vehicles, which may deform the impellers in high temperature environments and cause friction with the fuel pump housing, increasing resistance. In extreme cases, the fuel pump may stop working, causing the vehicle to stall while driving, posing a safety hazard.
