Apple is accelerating the development of its first foldable iPhone and is working with ultra-thin glass (UTG) suppliers. It is reported that Apple plans to use UTG provided by Chinese manufacturer Lens Technology in its future foldable devices. Lens Technology is expected to account for about 70% of the order share, while Corning may be responsible for providing raw materials. Lens Technology has performed well in UTG mass production and financial strength, especially in glass strengthening, reducing side cracks after cutting, and glass etching technology. In order to meet the demand for Apple's first foldable device to be launched in the second half of 2026, Lens Technology plans to expand the UTG production line in 2025.
