Samsung establishes new team to focus on HBM technology development

Samsung Electronics of South Korea established a new HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) development team last month, focusing on the development of HBM3, HBM3E and next-generation HBM4 technologies to improve the company's competitiveness in the HBM market. Although Samsung has already established a dedicated HBM product development team in the DRAM department in 2015, due to its neglect of this product, it has been overtaken by its competitor SK Hynix and has become an important supplier to GPU giant NVIDIA.
