South Korea plans to acquire 10,000 high-performance GPUs within this year to improve its AI competitiveness

The South Korean government announced on Monday that it plans to acquire 10,000 high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs) within this year to keep up with the escalating pace of the global artificial intelligence race. Choi said the government plans to acquire these GPUs through public-private partnerships to help the country launch services at national AI computing centers as soon as possible.
