Japanese auto market sees sales rebound

In January 2025, the Japanese automobile market saw a significant sales recovery, with overall sales increasing by 12.4% year-on-year to 376,255 units. Among them, Daihatsu Motor's sales rebounded by 102.2% and its market share jumped to 10.9% after experiencing the impact of production suspension in December last year. Toyota and Suzuki's sales continued to grow, increasing by 14.3% and 8.1% respectively. However, Honda and Nissan are facing the dilemma of declining sales.
