Introduction to China Automotive Intelligence

China Automotive (Beijing) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Automotive Intelligent Connected Vehicle"/CICV) was jointly initiated and established by the China Society of Automotive Engineers, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and China Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Innovation Alliance. It was established on March 19, 2018, with a registered address in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, and a registered capital of 1.1 billion yuan. The 23 shareholder units are all leading enterprises and scientific research institutions in the fields of complete vehicles, parts, information and communications. On May 30, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially approved the establishment of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center by China Automotive (Beijing) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Research Institute Co., Ltd., which will serve as the core think tank for industrial development, common technology research and development center, innovation service public platform, innovation ecological collaborative platform, and innovation achievement transformation base. In order to promote the development of my country's intelligent connected vehicle industry and technology, China Society of Automotive Engineers and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, established the "China Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Innovation Alliance" on June 12, 2017. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology serves as the guiding unit of the alliance, and Minister Miao Wei and Vice Minister Xin Guobin serve as the director and deputy director of the Alliance Steering Committee respectively. The alliance is a voluntary association of domestic enterprises, universities, research institutions, industry organizations, etc., including 64 governing units from the fields of automobiles, information and communications, transportation, etc., and more than 400 ordinary member units. In accordance with the agreed working mechanism, the alliance carries out work in policy and strategic research, key common technology research and development, standards and regulations, testing and demonstration, industrialization promotion, academic exchanges and international cooperation, and talent training.
