82
SAIC Group has adopted the "large R&D institute" model commonly used by automobile manufacturing groups, centralizing the R&D power of all sub-brands and developing them in a unified manner. It is planned to integrate the R&D business of the two brands, Zhiji and Feifan, into the SAIC Group Innovation Research and Development Institute. This model is conducive to improving R&D efficiency and reducing costs. According to people familiar with the matter, SAIC R&D Institute has prioritized Zhiji's "solid-state battery" and Feifan's "battery replacement technology" as well as extended-range development projects. This move will help promote the rapid development and application of these key technologies.
