WaveLoad recently announced that they will start mass production of gallium nitride epitaxial wafers early next year. This decision was made after they built a 300-square-meter clean room with a cleanliness level of 1000 in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The factory can produce 4-inch and 8-inch gallium nitride epitaxial wafers with a production capacity of 2,000 and 500 wafers per month, respectively. Currently, WaveLoad is sending samples to multiple customers to evaluate the quality and performance of its products. The company plans to add a new gallium nitride epitaxial wafer to its product line, which will be used for power conversion in electric vehicles and new energy power generation and storage systems (ESS). They plan to start mass production of this 8-inch silicon-based gallium nitride epitaxial wafer by the end of 2026.
