GM expands software talent pool, expects software and services revenue to reach $25 billion

General Motors is cutting more than 1,000 jobs in its global software and services organization, including about 600 employees at the automaker's Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, near Detroit. GM has been expanding its software talent pool to prepare for future challenges. The company expects software and services could generate up to $25 billion in revenue by 2030.
