According to foreign media reports, Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Micron, the three major DRAM memory manufacturers, may stop producing the two generations of DDR3 and DDR4 memory that have been around for many years in 2025. As consumer-grade platforms gradually adopt DDR5 and no longer support DDR4, DDR4 is accelerating its shift to the niche market currently occupied by DDR3.
