Samsung Electronics nominates chip business chief and CTO to board

Samsung Electronics recently nominated its chip business chief Jeon Young-hyun and chief technology officer Song Jae-hyuk to join the board of directors in an effort to bolster the competitiveness of its troubled semiconductor business. In addition, the company nominated Seoul National University professor Lee Hyuk-jae as an outside director. Professor Lee is a chip expert and the director of the Semiconductor Research Center at Seoul National University.
