Volkswagen Group Europe announces second quarter 2024 results

The European Volkswagen Group's performance report for the second quarter of 2024 showed that the group's sales revenue reached 83.339 billion euros (about 90.9 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 4.1% over the same period last year. Despite the increase in revenue, the group's operating profit declined from 5.6 billion euros in the same period last year to 5.464 billion euros, a decrease of 2.4%. In addition, the group's net profit after tax also fell by 4.2%, from 3.791 billion euros last year to 3.631 billion euros.
