Beijing launches bidding for new infrastructure project integrating vehicle, road and cloud

On August 21, the Beijing Engineering Construction Bidding and Tendering Transaction System revealed that the bidding plan for the Beijing Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integrated New Infrastructure Construction Project has been launched. The total investment of the project is about 4.031 billion yuan, and the bidding announcement is expected to be issued on September 25, 2024. It is known that the construction funds of the project mainly come from government investment and self-raised funds of state-owned enterprises, of which government investment accounts for 70% and self-raised funds of state-owned enterprises account for 30%. This project will cover 12 administrative districts including Chaoyang District, Haidian District, Fengtai District, Shijingshan District, Mentougou District, Fangshan District, Tongzhou District, Shunyi District, Changping District, Daxing District, Huairou District, Miyun District, and Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. The project construction area is about 2,324 square kilometers, involving 6,050 road intersections, 7,418 new integrated poles, and 33,595 old poles (including pole boxes). At the same time, 1,074 kilometers of power supply pipelines, 12,281 kilometers of cables, 5,387 kilometers of optical cables, and 6,050 sets of smart integrated boxes at intersections will also be built.
