Tesla gradually enters the Indian market, with Maharashtra as the first choice

Tesla is reportedly actively expanding its business in India. Following its recent recruitment of talent in India, Tesla is now looking for a suitable site for its factory. Insiders revealed that Tesla prefers to set up a factory in Maharashtra, mainly because Tesla has set up an office in Pune, the state, and the region has many existing suppliers. The Maharashtra government has recommended Chakan and Chikhali near Pune as potential factory sites to Tesla.
