Mitsubishi Electric develops 200Gbps optical fiber communication receiver chip

Mitsubishi Electric announced on August 20 that it has successfully developed an optical transceiver receiver chip for next-generation optical fiber communications, and plans to start providing samples on October 1 and achieve mass production by the end of 2024. The receiver chip has a transmission speed of up to 200Gbps, which can meet the needs of high-speed and large-capacity data center networks with widespread artificial intelligence applications.
