NVIDIA and Memory Manufacturers Collaborate to Create New High-Performance Memory Standard

According to reports, NVIDIA is working with memory manufacturers SK Hynix, Micron and Samsung to jointly develop a new memory standard that is smaller but has higher performance. The standard is called "SOCAMM" (System On Chip Advanced Memory Module). It is reported that NVIDIA and the three memory companies are exchanging SOCAMM prototypes for performance testing, and mass production is expected to begin as early as the second half of this year.
