NIO announces new strategy to expand battery swap stations to every county in the country

NIO recently announced an ambitious plan to expand its battery swap station network to every county in the country. According to the plan, NIO will first achieve full coverage of battery swap stations in 14 provincial-level administrative regions, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, and Shandong, by June 30, 2025. By the end of 2025, NIO will further expand its coverage to 13 new provincial-level administrative regions, including Hunan, Hebei, Shaanxi, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Hainan, and Shanxi. After that, NIO will continue to build and cover battery swap stations in other provincial-level administrative regions starting in 2026, with the ultimate goal of achieving full coverage across the country.
