Tesla's China Gigafactory is expected to produce 10,000 Megapack batteries per year

Zhu Xiaotong, senior vice president of Tesla China, said that Tesla's super factory in the Lingang area of ​​Shanghai is expected to produce 10,000 Megapack batteries per year, which can power 50,000 households in Shanghai throughout the year. Tesla said in its second-quarter 2024 earnings call that the company's energy storage deployment has more than doubled thanks to Megapack and Powerwall. Tesla's super factory in China may double or even triple its Megapack deployment.
