Trump announces auto tariff rates, triggering risk aversion in the market

U.S. President Trump announced that the auto tariff rate will be about 25%, which may prompt some large chip auto-related companies to return to the U.S. In 2024, the United States imported $471 billion worth of automotive products from all over the world, including $214 billion worth of cars, $192 billion worth of parts and $65 billion worth of special-purpose vehicles such as trucks and buses.
