ZF provides steer-by-wire system for NIO's smart electric executive flagship ET9

ZF has equipped the Chinese auto brand NIO's smart electric executive flagship ET9 with its latest generation of steer-by-wire system, which eliminates the traditional mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering gear and instead uses electromechanical actuators between the wheels as the sole source of steering power.
