Nidec Corporation of Japan is considering acquiring Makino Milling Machine Co., Ltd., and this plan has attracted widespread attention in the industry. Makino sent a second inquiry letter to Nidec on February 7, asking about the business integration plan, the impact of the acquisition on the company's philosophy, and whether to postpone the start date of the stock public tender offer (TOB). In response, Nidec said that joining the Nidec Group is a necessary condition for achieving maximum synergy, and denied the plan to integrate the work machinery business with Makino after divesting it.
