TSMC to invest 10 billion euros in building factory in Germany

TSMC, in cooperation with Infineon, NXP Semiconductors and Bosch, officially held a groundbreaking ceremony for the European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC), a semiconductor factory with a 10 billion euro investment in the eastern German city of Dresden. The wafer factory is expected to start production at the end of 2027.
