Jorge Vallejo, general manager of BYD Mexico, a Chinese electric car manufacturer, said on August 21 that the company has narrowed down the candidate sites for the Mexican factory to three states and is currently evaluating them. Jorge Vallejo revealed that the company is evaluating the latest proposals provided by the candidate states, including various incentives such as finance, land, management and pricing benefits. He said that building a factory needs to consider everything needed for an automobile factory, such as logistics services, R&D equipment, urban infrastructure, water and natural gas. BYD plans to determine the final site by the end of the year.
