STMicroelectronics adopts "China-for-China" strategy to establish cooperative relations with Chinese partners

In order to further control costs and maintain its market share in mainland China, STMicroelectronics has adopted a "China-for-China" strategy, which means that some MCUs will be outsourced to Huahong, a Chinese wafer foundry, and STMicroelectronics has established a joint venture wafer fab with its Chinese partner Sanan Optoelectronics. The implementation of this strategy is expected to bring new development opportunities to the company.
