Xpeng Motors releases new intelligent driving chip Turing chip

On the evening of August 27, at the launch conference of Xiaopeng Motors, the company's chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced that their self-designed intelligent driving chip Turing chip had been successfully taped out on August 23. This chip can be used to achieve L4 level autonomous driving. It is reported that the Turing chip is equipped with a 40-core CPU, two NPUs, and two independent image ISPs, and can support large models with 30 billion parameters to run on the terminal side. He Xiaopeng said that when applied to L4 autonomous driving cars, the performance of a Turing chip is comparable to the current three mainstream intelligent driving chips.
