Shandong Province announces list of new energy storage projects to be included in 2024

On August 27, the Shandong Provincial Energy Bureau announced the list of new energy storage projects to be included in the 2024 inventory. A total of 86 projects were selected with a total scale of 16.331GW. This includes 4.33GW of independent energy storage, 0.895GW of centralized energy storage, and 5.03GW of shared energy storage. In addition, there are 30 lithium-ion battery encouraged projects with a scale of 4.95GW; 73 lithium-ion battery energy storage projects with a scale of 13.825GW; 43 lithium-ion battery preferred projects with a scale of 8.875GW; 4 compressed air projects with a scale of 1.46GW; and 9 new technology projects with a scale of 1.046GW.
