SMIC released its financial report for the first half of 2024, showing that the company's operating income reached 26.269 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%. However, the company's net profit attributable to shareholders was 1.646 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 45.1%. SMIC pointed out that although geopolitical factors have affected the supply chain, they have successfully seized new market opportunities and improved capacity utilization.
