Renesas acquires Transphorm and Altium

Renesas has made two important acquisitions to strengthen its capabilities in the automotive semiconductor and design software fields. First, it acquired gallium nitride supplier Transphorm for $339 million, and second, it acquired 100% of the shares of Australian design software provider Altium for $5.91 billion. These acquisitions will further expand Renesas' product line and market competitiveness.
