Xpeng Motors considers introducing extended-range electric vehicles to the European market

Xpeng Motors is evaluating whether to introduce extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) into the European market. Vice Chairman Gu Hongdi revealed that the company is evaluating the feasibility of this plan. Extended-range electric vehicles are essentially pure electric drive systems with an internal combustion engine added. This engine does not directly drive the wheels, but acts as a generator to charge the battery, thereby extending the range. The vehicle has a comprehensive range of up to 1,400 kilometers, of which the range in pure electric mode is 430 kilometers.
