Swedish car market sales in January increased by 14% year-on-year

In January 2025, the Swedish auto market performed strongly, with total sales reaching 19,632 units, an increase of about 14% year-on-year. The market share of new energy vehicles reached 51.6%, of which pure electric vehicles (BEV) accounted for 28.8% and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) accounted for 22.7%. Volkswagen ID.7 is particularly worth mentioning, with sales reaching 588 units, becoming the best-selling pure electric model.
