In May 2021, Geely and Xinju Energy Semiconductor and others jointly established Guangdong Xinyueneng Semiconductor Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 400 million yuan. Xinyueneng's products mainly include power devices such as silicon carbide SBD/JBS, MOSFET, IGBT, etc., which are mainly used in new energy vehicles, industrial power supplies, smart grids, and photovoltaic power generation. It is currently the largest company in China that focuses on the manufacture of automotive-grade silicon carbide chips. It has been listed as a key construction project by Guangzhou City and Nansha District respectively. In the second quarter of 2022, Xinjueneng's silicon carbide main drive module successfully landed on the smart Elf #1 mass-produced car, becoming the first batch of silicon carbide main drive modules provided by a third party in China to enter mass-produced passenger cars. Xinjueneng's silicon carbide modules and controllers using Xinjueneng's silicon carbide modules have entered mass production status (SOP).
