The Wuxi base is the largest and best-developed production base of ams Osram in China, and the continuous expansion of the business of the Wuxi plant is also the strategic direction of the group. The ams Osram Group has three major business segments: sensing, light sources and visualization, and is a leading global supplier of optical solutions. In 2012, Osram established China's first LED chip packaging base in Wuxi High-tech Zone. Subsequently, it increased investment and expanded production, and transformed and upgraded many times. Today, the base has also become an important production base of ams Osram in China. The Wuxi base is the first LED packaging base project of ams Osram Group in China. It was listed as one of the three major production bases of Osram Optoelectronics at the time, along with the Regensburg plant in Germany and the Penang plant in Malaysia.
