Beam Automotive recalls some domestically produced MINI models again

Beam Automotive Co., Ltd. has decided to recall some domestically produced MINI COOPER vehicles with production dates from June 1, 2024 to October 10, 2024, totaling 130 vehicles, and some domestically produced MINI ACEMAN vehicles with production dates from June 30, 2024 to October 23, 2024, totaling 47 vehicles, starting from February 28, 2025. The reason for this recall is a problem in the power battery production process, which may cause excessive self-discharge of some power battery cells, triggering the fault warning light on the instrument panel to light up, limiting the vehicle's charging function. In extreme cases, it may cause the power battery to overheat, posing a safety hazard.
