According to reports, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States has recalled more than 376,241 vehicles in the United States due to defects in the power steering assist device. These vehicles are 2023 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles produced between February 28, 2023 and October 11, 2023. Because the printed circuit board of the vehicle's electronic power steering assist device may be overstressed, this may cause the vehicle to lose power steering assistance when accelerating again after stopping, increasing the difficulty of the driver to control the car and increasing the risk of vehicle collision.
