Subo Technology is headquartered in Liyang, Jiangsu. CEO Liu Chao studied automotive engineering at Tsinghua University for his undergraduate degree and studied for his master's degree at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He was formerly the president of Continental AG's commercial vehicle division in China. Five months after its establishment, Subo received financing from Shunwei Capital and Sequoia Seed Fund under Lei Jun. The whole vehicle is manufactured by JAC. Subo has set up a production base for chassis core components in Yulin, Shaanxi, including production lines for core subsystems "chassis domain control, high-voltage power domain motherboard, integrated thermal management or battery system, distributed electric drive axle, and overall manufacturing of skateboard chassis".
