Huawei Guangzhou R&D Center officially put into use

Guangzhou Daily reported that the first batch of about 2,000 employees of Huawei's Guangdong Office have moved into the new Guangzhou R&D Center, marking the official commissioning of the project, which is expected to accommodate a research and development team of about 5,000 people. The project has a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, started construction in September 2021, and is expected to be delivered in September 2024. The center will focus on research and development in the fields of smart cars, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. The goal is to accelerate the application of ICT (information and communication technology) in various industries in Guangzhou, occupy strategic high ground in industries such as the integration of information and information technology, smart cities, and 5G, and promote the formation of future industrial clusters such as smart cars and autonomous driving with a value of hundreds of billions.
