World Advanced and NXP Semiconductors established a joint venture to build a 12-inch wafer fab in Singapore

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) and NXP Semiconductors (NXP) have obtained approval from relevant authorities and have injected capital as planned to formally establish a joint venture company, VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC). They plan to start construction of a 12-inch wafer fab in Singapore in the second half of the year, and are expected to start mass production in 2027. It is reported that the wafer fab is located in Singapore with a total investment of US$7.8 billion.
