Japan plans to expand battery production capacity by about 50%

With government support, Toyota Motor, Nissan Motor and other companies will help Japan expand its battery production capacity by about 50% through a total investment of 1 trillion yen (6.97 billion U.S. dollars), mainly for automotive batteries, and increase production capacity from 80 GWh to 120 GWh.
