AEye slashes staff to cut operating costs

AEye, an American lidar company, recently carried out a large-scale layoff, reducing the number of employees by about two-thirds. In addition, the company also gave up the office lease contract it had signed previously and stopped paying rent to the lessor. AEye therefore faces potential compensation of up to $8.5 million.
