LiDAR's position in intelligent driving is challenged

Recently, at the Chengdu Auto Show, pure vision intelligent driving solutions have received widespread attention. Many models, including Wenjie M7 pro, Xiaopeng MONA M03, Shenlan S7 Qiankun Intelligent Driving Edition, have launched pure vision versions. With the support of artificial intelligence technologies such as big models, end-to-end solutions that are driven by data instead of rules are becoming a new trend in intelligent driving. Under the new technology, the pure vision solution with cameras as sensing components has significantly improved its intelligent driving capabilities. However, lidar, which is also a sensing component, has disappeared from some new vehicle model solutions.
