Pony.ai plans to put 1,000 driverless taxis into operation between 2025 and 2026

Zhang Ning, vice president of Pony.ai, said that for driverless taxis to achieve large-scale commercialization, 500 to 1,000 vehicles need to be deployed in a single city to break even. He revealed that Pony.ai is expected to put 1,000 driverless taxis into operation in a city around 2025 to 2026.
